Organising a virtual reality team building in Switzerland: the guide
Virtual reality team building has established itself as a format that genuinely brings teams together. Here's how to frame it so it delivers on its promise.
Why VR works for team cohesion
Unlike a passive activity, VR puts participants right in the action: they have to communicate, share out roles and coordinate their moves. Cooperative escape games and team arenas create shared memories — the real engine of cohesion. And because the game is displayed on screen, those waiting their turn are part of the moment too.
How many participants?
From 10 to 200+. The key point: you don't play 200 at once. We set up rotations, teams and paced sessions. Plan for several stations running in parallel from 40–50 people, with a live leaderboard to keep the tension high.
How much space and how long?
A station needs 12 to 16 m²; a free-roam arena at least 60 m². Provide a room with a power socket — no internet connection is required, everything runs locally. As for duration, a half-day is enough for a mid-sized group; allow a full day for large headcounts.
Budget and logistics
Every service is quoted to measure (participants, duration, experiences, customisation). Setup takes 1 to 2 hours and a technician runs the whole thing. From our base in Bienne, travel is free within a 20 km radius, then 1 CHF/km.
